"Octant was once Ethereum’s best-kept secret, quietly supporting the infrastructure and public goods others overlooked. Today, its decentralized model is one of the ecosystem’s most trusted and high-impact funding engines. Octant proves that community-driven allocation can outperform."

"I've worked with Octant as part of Rotki. Collaborating with them felt like working with people who genuinely understand what it means to build in the open-source space. They focus on long-term sustainability rather than short-term funding and consistently support the mission, not the hype cycle. A passionate and kind group of people."

No, you do not need $GLM or any specific token to use Octant’s products. As an ecosystem, you’re welcome to use Octant’s tools with your existing tokens on the Ethereum network.

Our tools are quite modular and can be used individually. There’s no technical requirement to use both although we recommend using vaults or funding for ecosystem sustainability.
There is no hard requirement to "lock" tokens on any of the vaults on the Octant protocol, and there's also no minimum period of time required for deployment. You can decide your approach based on your assets, yield strategy, and your funding goals.
